Recently, I did a commission for some dear friends of mine from church in their kitchen. They wanted the word "Eucharisteo" painted above their kitchen cabinets. Thanksgiving. Grace. Joy. The process took about a day. I started by cleaning the wall, then taping off the area for the border. Then I painted the border. The font was free-handed after considerable research on typography and fonts. The process and meaning of the piece to its new owners actually gives me some things to meditate on. Eucharisteo. Thanksgiving. Grace. Joy. Eucharisteo. Something beautiful.
